Instrumentation and record setup for durability / life tests

An instrumentation and record setup on the customer bench that captures condition, measurement and margin data for durability and life-test cycles.

Context

Instrumentation and a record setup are installed so cycle, load and measurement data stay on the durability/life-test bench.

Our approach
What we do

What we do

We write the channel plan and acceptance criteria before the test; with DAQ and protocol we record each cycle’s data, conditions and margins. The bench does not run until the protocol is signed.

Narrative · 03

What you get

Condition, margin, uncertainty and result recorded together.

04

How we verify

The defensibility of a test result depends on verifying the measurement chain as much as the result itself; acceptance requires the channel plan and acceptance criteria to be written in a signed protocol and every cycle's condition, margin and uncertainty to be recorded.

05

What is required

Requires access to the specimen and test bench, the channel plan and acceptance criteria written and signed before testing, and calibration data for the uncertainty budget.

How it works

The measurement and record setup on a durability/life-test bench keeps cycle, load and measurement records. Pass/fail decisions bind to that record; acceptance criteria are written in the project definition. The customer team runs the test.

A decision with no record

When cycle data is not stored, and a repeat test gives a different result with a different operator, there is no data to settle the dispute. The result remains indefensible.

Signed protocol

The channel list, sampling rate and pass/fail criteria are written in the test protocol; each channel is mapped to a physical connection and data path. The bench does not run until the protocol is signed.

Verifying the chain

Each cycle's condition, margin and uncertainty are recorded time-aligned; the uncertainty budget is part of the acceptance criterion. The same test can be run once and examined a hundred times.

What comes next

Stable test records become the data source for automation regression and digital-twin scenarios.
